Untitled Raid Game - First post-jam update!


It's taken a while, but I'm happy to announce that I'm working on making this a fully-fledged game!

There was a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff to do this update (mostly cleaning up some messy 'yeah-this-was-a-last-minute-addition' code), but now that most of the boring stuff is out of the way, I can start working on adding more zones, enemies, and more!

There's a lot I have planned, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. For now, here's what's new:

  • 'Adventure Mode' has been added! Unlike infinity mode, you'll have a set number of floors to go through, and a cool boss fight at the end!
  • The Blue Scarab boss fight! (You'll find it on floor 6 of adventure mode)
  • New Sand Snake enemy! Unlike other enemies, this one won't actively pursue the player. But don't get too close!
  • Explosion traps! (ouch)
  • Lots of menu improvements!
  • Save files! (they don't do much now but that'll change soon!)
  • A pause menu!
  • New GUI layout!
  • Field-of-view is now changeable!
  • Many menu improvements!

I've covered just about everything (probably), so you're free to stop reading this post now. Or, if you really want, you can read it again.
